The Leadership Development Programme
The brain child of Sarah Wall from the LeadEQ team and Kate Simpson, Head of People and Development, Perrigo, the LDP was designed to equip talented senior leaders in waiting with the leadership knowledge and skills to step up into Director level positions seamlessly.
Working closely together Sarah and Kate mapped the individual development needs of the first cohort against the leadership needs of the organization and developed a 5 module, 12 month programme covering everything from personal leadership brand to leading organization and individual change. With a wide variety of learning formats, the programme combines workshops, internal coaching, mentoring and action learning.
The first cohort in 2015 went on to achieve a more than 75% promotion rate with many moving into Director positions or broadening their role in the business within 6 months of completing the programme and year after year the success rate has continued in a similar way.
Since then 36 more senior managers have completed the programme. With every new cohort Kate and Sarah take the same approach as the first, reviewing the participants needs and looking at the organizational climate and demands before amending and adjusting the content accordingly.
